This Privacy Policy explains how Qubit ("we," "us," "our," or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Qubit mobile application. By using Qubit, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Qubit is operated as an independent product. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to make Qubit work and improve. Specifically:

1.1 Account Information

• Google Sign-In: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google profile ID. We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google service data.
• Onboarding responses: During signup, we ask a small number of optional questions (such as your role, focus area, and learning interests) to help us understand who Qubit is being built for. You can choose not to answer these.

1.2 Usage Information

• In-app activity: We log which Qubits you open, save, or share, along with the time and session length. This helps us understand which content formats work and improve them.
• Device information: We collect basic technical information such as device model, operating system version, and app version to diagnose crashes and ensure compatibility.

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your location.
• We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera.
• We do not read your messages or files outside the App.
• We do not show advertisements and do not collect data for advertising purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Deliver content inside the App
• Understand how users engage with Qubit so we can improve it
• Diagnose technical issues and fix bugs
• Communicate with you about product updates, if you have opted in

We do not use your data to train external AI models or sell it to third parties.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following limited cases:

• Service providers: We use trusted third-party services to host our backend infrastructure (Hostinger) and authenticate users (Google Sign-In). These providers are bound by their own privacy commitments.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the App.
• Aggregated insights: We may share anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g., "70% of users read at least one Qubit per day") that cannot be used to identify any individual.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers operated by our hosting provider. We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and restricted access controls.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (such as for tax or fraud-prevention purposes).

Anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for research and product improvement.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information
• Delete your account and associated personal data
• Object to certain types of processing
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

7. How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your Qubit account directly from within the App:

• Open Qubit
• Go to Profile
• Tap Delete Account
• Confirm the deletion

Account deletion is permanent and removes your personal data from our active systems within 30 days.

If you cannot access the App, you can also request account deletion by emailing us at admin@qubitapp.live from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

Qubit is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

9. International Users

Qubit is operated from India. If you access the App from outside India, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in India and other countries where our service providers operate. By using Qubit, you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we will notify you within the App or by email before the changes take effect.

Continued use of Qubit after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
